As many of you know, Little A is out of kindergarten and soon to be in first grade this fall. To celebrate her milestone and kick-off summer break we took a mommy + me trip out camping with Getaways House then the following weekend we packed up the dogs and headed out to a weekend on the beach.
Little couldn’t really go swimming, which I thought she was definitely going to have a fit about, but she was okay with playing the sand; we made sand castles together and walked around the boardwalk.

WHERE WE ATE.

We had lunch at Brew River Restaurant & Bar, a riverfront eatery serving mostly seafood and American menu and craft brews. The restaurant is located on Main Street (502 W Main St, Salisbury, MD) overlooking the Port of Salisbury Marina and the Wicomico river.

WHAT WE DID.

When we’re out in OC, we typically spend most of our time relaxing on the beach. This visit was different though with Little A in a hard cast for another few weeks yet. After building a few sand castles, we took a walk around the boardwalk, playing games (balloon dart was so much fun!). The next day we went back to the boardwalk, got an access rides pass where Little A literally got on all the rides except for a couple. The best part of it: she convinced me to go on a rollercoaster with her and I haaaaaaaaaaaaate rollercoasters, so one thing I can be proud of that I did with her because I think she will remember it forever.

Overall a pretty magical weekend and we can’t wait to go back.
