I love thrifting and years ago before I became mommy to a hyperactive six-year-old I loved buying old books from thrift stores. One of those books I had purchased at a local Goodwill is ‘The Book of Awesome’ by Neil Pasricha. It is essentially a compilation of all the awesome things we all love—there is something it for everyone. Personally, seeing a sleeping newborn all swaddled up and seeing the cutest, fluffiest dog gives me awesome feeling. Today I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you.

1. Taking your bra off after wearing it for hours
2. Waking up before your alarm clock and realizing you’ve got lots of sleep time left
3. When you’re right near the end of the book
4. Having a whole row to yourself on the plane
5. Illegal naps {lol}
6. Seeing a cop on the side of the road and realizing you’re going the speed limit anyway
7. Wearing underwear just out of the dryer
8. Sneaking McDonald’s and hiding the evidence
9. Staring out at calm water
10. The smell of the coffee aisle in the grocery store
11. Perfectly toasted toast
12. Getting off an airplane after a long flight
13. Getting your ID checked when you’re way over the legal age
14. Eating the extra fries at the bottom of the bag
15. Peeling that thin plastic film off new electronics {iPhone X, anyone?}
16. Waiters and waitresses who bring refills without asking
17. Bakery air {yum}
18. When you push the button for the elevator and it’s already there
19. Hitting a bunch of green lights in a row
20. A long hug when you really need it
21. Finding out your birthday is on a Friday or Saturday next year
22. Wearing sandals when you shouldn’t be wearing sandals
