Happy New Year!
New year brings new goals and this year one of my goals is to get my home organized and clutter-free.

One of my goals this year as it relates to my home is to make my home more minimalistic when it comes to decorations, for a number of reasons…
1. I have too many collected items
2. Too many dog toys and kid’s toys
2. New vibe / style and general overall aesthetics
This year, I’m also looking to share more here on my blog, you know, OG blogging where I’m sharing my thoughts on life, home life, lifestyle, style, home life and all the things that inspire and motivate me. And I’m starting out with my home organization.

Getting your home is hard work and can quickly get overwhelming. Getting organized can seem like a huge task, which is why most people tend to put it off.
For the past few months I’ve been thinking about ways in which I can declutter and organize my home. My home is especially cluttered because I’m a collector of any/everything vintage. I collect so many different decor/styling props/items because of my job.
Between our three dogs (@alwayscreatingpaws) and an 8-year-old who loves Barbie, slime, Hatchimals or whatever new toy there is out there my it’s a little more challenging to keep our family, dining and living rooms organized and clutter-free.
It just seems that everytime I pick up a toy three more pops up. It’s neverending!
Few organization tips I’m using to get organized quickly…
✔Make use of empty walls by adding floating shelves and knobs to hang things and organize your items.
✔Utilize bookcases, shelving units and storage boxes as storage for little items.
✔ Quick ways to get organized with a few minutes to spare: pick up your clothes; place toys in bins; put away laundry; make your bed every day; put shoes away; start a donation pile; clear out unused dishes, mugs, etc.
I hope this helps you if you’re looking to kickstart your home. Happy organizing!!
