Ah, the country: fresh air, quiet, endless views of beautiful + abundant farmland—talking acres and acres of beautiful farms and historic homes, miles of country roads, the people, horses and farm animals enjoying the great outdoors. If I could I would totally visit my best friend’s beautiful farm every single weekend, but we live too far apart, which is why twice a year when our calendars align we take the opportunity to go out and visit. Spending time with her and her family literally makes my soul happy. She’s more than a friend to me; she’s like a sister and I love her and value our friendship so, so much. She’s just the kind of person that I can talk to about anything and she will listen and give advice without judgment. She is such an amazing person and I’m so lucky we’re friends!
Even though we only got to stay just a night this visit, we still did so much! Watching our kids play with each other was so sweet and made me so happy! We especially loved seeing all of the animals again… and meeting some new ones—Ducky the Cow and the four little pigs! I always get so excited about milking and picking fresh eggs from the coup.
With very little to zero wifi service, I couldn’t share any photos on social media or even snap chat or Insta stories so I figured I’d share all the photos here on the blog.
