Our NYC Travel Diary: Empire State Building, And Time Square [Photos]

New York City (NYC), it is well-known as one of the greatest cities in the world. I have been to the city a few times during my college years. I remember going to Time Square for the first time, it is a memory I could never (nor would I ever) be able to forget. It’s a place so magical that I mean, you can’t help but fall deep…deep in love with it. Ask anyone who’s ever been to the city and they will tell you that there is no place like it. In fact, they will go on to tell you all the magical things / places / people / food / nightlife / sights that it has to offer.
I knew when I became a mommy that without a doubt I would absolutely be taking my little girl to the city that I loved so, so much. And this past June, I was delighted to take her to one of the greatest cities in the entire world, and well, let’s just say that she too was mesmerized by it all; every single minute of it!
We only had one day in the city so we could only do/see so much. Here’s a rundown of what we did:

  • Madison Square Garden
  • Time Square
  • Empire State Building (86th and 102nd Floors Observation Decks). The Empire State Building is a 102-story skyscraper located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, on Fifth Avenue between West 33rd and 34th Streets. Definitely WORTH seeing the city from the 102th floor, definitely, so don’t miss out! You can get tickets from street vendors but we preferred getting our tickets upstairs at roll call.
  • After an hour or so on the 86th and 102nd floors, we were STARVING, and there was only one place we could grab a cold drink and good eats, and conveniently located downstairs was the one and only Heartland Brewery – Empire State Building. They’ve got great food, excellent location, atmosphere, and ambiance. Waiters were friendly, great micro-brewery makes yummy craft beers onsite, casual eatery that’s perfect for family too. Definitely recommend eating here! (Try the fried calamari and check out complete menu)
  • Shopped at H&M Time Square (the fashionista in me had to! I bought a couple of dresses at 50% OFF and a black fitted jumpsuit).
  • We bought I Heart NYC t-shirts from street vendors and it was perfect! The entire day was perfect! Can’t hardly wait to return!

Here are PICS from our day (not even a fraction of the pictures I took). I will work on uploading them to my Facebook page, so follow me on FB!

One day love, one day! And it’s actually a pretty inexpensive city. You can find accommodations for less to nothing, and there is tons to see for less. Where are you from? It will happen for you one day, you’ll see!! Thanks for reading my post + commenting! Xx
