Hey, my good vibes tribes! Been a minute since my last post and even longer since my last #momlife update. Oh my gosh, we have had such a fun, busy, and hectic couple of days in our home! I had to skip my style post on Tuesday because it was my Little A’s 6th birthday. I cannot believe that I have a 6-year-old to be honest.

Birthdays are so special, especially hers, obviously so I literally go overboard with the celebrations, lol, like why not, right? And let me tell you she was so excited for her birthday and to turn six that she literally counted down to the day… and I was right there with her just as excited for and with her… on the outside. On the inside, especially the day before, I was such an emotional mess. I can’t believe another year has come and gone leaving us with a 6-year-old. I can still remember the first time I saw her face in the delivery room and when I heard her cry for the first time and even in the sounds of all the babies crying in post-delivery room her voice stood out to me and felt this emotional connection to her immediately just from hearing her voice crying. So while my Little A was on cloud nine about her birthday and all the presents and party, I was reliving her birth day. It lasted a day then I do what moms do best got into planning her day full of surprises.

As usual, I went crazy with the balloons and flowers, but kept it small and intimate on the celebration this year. Her birthday fell on a weekday and for the first time we are having a party the weekend after her birthday. We had a small shindig with her classmates then went home to a few surprises waiting for her. I made her a cake, filled her room with balloons, and make her a flower arrangement…then it was on to dinner to end the night. She told me how happy she was and how much she LOVED her birthday during bedtime.

I don’t ever want to let go of all the beautiful milestones and precious memories we have shared the past five years. I’m so looking forward to making more memories and I cannot wait to see all the new memories of amazement and joy we make with our 6-year-old!

Curious if any you mamas get emotional on or around your little one’s birthday? I would love to hear about your experiences.

I love the idea of a small intimate birthday, every year its like we moms tend to wreck our brain about what will go into making this particular day special for our love bugs. I know I do with a 3 yr old LOL but this is great! so glad she enjoyed her day and kudos to you mama! blessings!

She is gorgeous. Good on you that you are creating great memories. I feel a bit overwhelmed as my expectations are very high and I end up not fulfilling it. Gorgeous flowers.
