Job Opening: Associate Event Planner

Wildflower Hill Co. is looking for an associate event planner to assist with weddings and events. Be part of an award-winning team that creates wedding magic for couples in Northern Virginia and DMV area.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with internal staff, clients, vendors, and other parties to establish needs for events, and serve as liaison to couples and vendors throughout the planning process
  • Research resources, participate in site visits, and lead pre-event meetings when necessary to help staff make decisions about event design
  • Plan and facilitate details and logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, and decor
  • Oversee client experiences from concept through post-event, managing on-site preparations, production, and event breakdown, ensuring consistent, high-level service throughout all phases
  • Maintain and build a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues
  • Troubleshoot and handle any issues that arise on the event day
  • Participate in client site visits and meetings as needed
Qualifications:

The individual must exemplify the following qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in hospitality or event industry
  • Exemplary customer service standards. Be willing to “go the extra mile” to satisfy our clients
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic about customer service
  • Self-motivated, positive with a good attention to detail
