Family-Friendly Fun Fall Activities To Do This Fall (And Autumn)

At long last, fall is here and I don’t know about you but I am excited for cozy sweaters, hot chocolate, a nice glass of wine by the fireplace, and of course, fall activities! We’re doing one of our favorite fall activities today, so I got inspired to share some ideas with you of some of the things you can do with your kids and as a family this fall and autumn.

Pumpkin Patch

This is right up there when it comes to favorite fun fall activities. I am huge fall lover and I look forward to going to our local pumpkin each year. It’s just such a fun way to spend the day with family and friends, eating corn dogs, caramel corn popcorn, smoked BBQ, listening to live music by a local band, petting cutesy little farm animals, go on a hayride, I mean, the fun never stops! I absolutely LOVED taking my daughter to the patch every fall when she was little.

Decorate Your Front Porch for Fall

Give your front door a makeover to match the season and cooler temperatures. Fall is such a fun time to decorate thanks to colorful pumpkins and gourds, fall plants and flowers, and it just adds a little cozy and warmth to your front door.

Carve a Pumpkin

Pumpkin carving is a great family activity and it’s just so fun to do together on a beautiful fall day. Everyone can come up with creative ideas + designs. And you can even make it a little competitive by voting on the best pumpkin! {Just watch for those sharp knives with the kiddos!}

Go Apple Picking

Last year was my first-time going apple picking and it was just such a fun time! Read my post about our family apple picking fun at Stribling Orchard.
