Hiiiiiiiiii everyone! Happy Friday! It’s #FridayIntroductions and I haven’t done one in a while, so I thought I’d introduce myself since I’ve recently had the pleasure of meeting + connecting with so many new friends.
My name is Glory (or Glor), and I’m the founder and creative behind #AlwaysCreatingStudio (now known as Wildflower Hill Co. I’m a boho-loving, flowers obsessed, wine lover, proud mother and wife to two of the most beautiful, most loving humans in my world. I grew up in a small town outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (go Packers!). I went to George Mason University (Go Patriots!), and I also have a computer science degree (yes, I’m a huge tech nerd). While in college, I wrote for the school paper (print and online), where I covered social topics, including interviewing faculty + staff, and celebs visiting Mason for events.
“When you love and laugh abundantly you live a beautiful life.”
Although my background for the past 17 years has been heavily rooted in web development and IT Project/Program management, I’ve worked as a global marketing and communications director for a telecom company and worked for a nonprofit on Capitol Hill where I gained my combined five years events management experience managing large scale corporate events from Miami to Vegas and DC. I’ve also directed MARCOM/social media strategies and managed media relations. I’ve worked with WTOP and Northern Virginia Magazine. I’m a Board Chair at my HOA where I plan and oversee all community activities with our amazing team of volunteers.

Creatively, I have been blogging since September 2008 (10-years blog anniversary this year, eeekkkk). I’m a fashion and lifestyle blogger and influencer over at @AlwaysCreatingBlog (now known as @WildflowerHill.Co. A few years ago, I found the @risingtidesociety and my endless pursuit of creativity expanded into my STUDIO brand where I worked with corporate brands to create custom social media marketing stock images for social marketing campaigns. Officially in 2015, I obtained my EIN # for the STUDIO and have been working behind the scenes designing/styling/collaborating with fellow creatives, brands, and businesses. Last year, I planned, designed, and sourced all the décor for my wedding, and working with my amazing family over at the @hyattregencytysons, my #bohowedding dreams became a reality.

Here’s my practice when it comes to planning/designing/styling an event or wedding: I focus heavily on personal details and anecdote. Yes, there have been beautiful weddings that have taken place, but YOUR wedding (or event) has not happened yet, and the last thing you want is a wedding that looks like someone else’s. That’s where @AlwaysCreatingStudio (now known as Wildflower Hill Co.) thrives—creating your endless pursuit of happy in your wedding day journey through curated personalized design and décor that’s totally you so that when your guests walk into the venue they can go, “yup, this is totally her style—she’ll be blown away”. We plan, design, coordinate, and style for YOU not for what you see online.
