New year brings new goals, new aspirations, but before we say hello to 2018, I wanted to look back on some of my favorite moments and milestones of 2017.

The year started with a 1920s inspired styled shoot, which was just the perfect way to kick-start the new year. I was excited to style this shoot and loved how it turned out. Getting to work with so many creatives was so fulfilling. It definitely set the tone for the rest of the year for me.

From one creative project to another, 2017 did not disappoint. I took on one of my biggest creative projects this year (besides planning my wedding, of course). I planned and hosted a styled brunch at Burton’s Grill and Bar in Sterling, Virginia. Burton’s is an upscale bar & grill chain featuring an extensive menu of American fare in a stylish dining room. I am planning another brunch event in 2018 and hope to open it to my creative friends.

I love planning events: from meeting my clients for the first time to hear about their special day to coming up with the concept, design, and décor elements—I love it all. It is so satisfying to see my clients’ vision come alive on event day. Something incredibly satisfying seeing the happy looks on my clients faces. I also love getting an email from clients saying how happy they are with the outcome of their projects; it makes me truly happy and solidifies that I’m on the right path.

Always Creating Studio hit a huge milestone this year: BRAND PARTNERSHIP. This year we had the opportunity to work directly with several brands to create targeted social media content. I’m so proud of my business and its journey since its official inception a several years ago.

Another special moment for STUDIO was getting a chance to work with CREATIVE ENTREPRENEURS on their re-brand and brand launch project. From Northern Virginia to Washington, DC, it was such a special moment to work with several boss ladies who are on their way to bigger + better things in 2018. We were delighted to be part of their 2017 journeys!

 

 

I learned so much this year with my business as I navigated the ins and outs of working in the wedding industry, running a business, networking, working with vendors, etc., and to honest, I’m still learning and growing. I have so many more hopes and dreams and goals for what I wish to accomplish in the new year. It is so incredibly inspirational to work with so many talented creative women; I have learned so much from working on these projects with these women.

New beginnings can be scary yet exciting; the unknown is not easy to navigate, but it gives you a chance to start over. A new year is like a blank book perfect for writing the story you desire; a story that will leave a legacy that you can be proud to share.

This year has certainly brought us so much happy and love and I am so grateful for all the opportunities that I have experienced. I’m even more grateful to share my life with you–thank you for your support. I wish you all the happiest New Year’s –may it bring you love, happiness, and success. May 2018 be kind to you all!

 

 

As I look ahead to 2018, I can’t help but get excited about our clients’ weddings, events, special projects, and brand collaborations. I am truly overwhelmed by all your support this year, I couldn’t do what I do because of my clients.
