Lately I have been consumed with the idea of redecorating my entryway. Right now I just have a couple of small bookcases, which I am using as shoe storage for my daughter. This idea was extremely helpful when she was two years old and learning to put on her own shoes by herself. It’s also a catchall for our keys, mail, dog leash, etc.; you know all the things we need when we’re running out the door in the morning or to ballet recital in the evening. So far it has served its purpose, but now I am ready to get to a cleaner, simpler, more inviting multi-functional space because this is the first space our visitors will see when they walk up to our front door.
